GURUGRAM: Before it vanished from the city skies for almost a decade, the Indian eagle-owl could be spotted regularly in Gurugram. Earlier this year, this brown-grey creature made a reappearance, much to the surprise of birdwatchers.
And while the bird’s rare, fleeting visits will continue to draw curiosity and attention, an 8-feet-tall sculpture of the eagle-owl got a permanent place in the city’s landscape on Wednesday, perched regally on an installation set up on the Delhi-Gurugram border and called ‘Gateway of Gurugram’.
