iamgurgaon in association with Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority In partnership with India Photo Archive Foundation and supported by the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change held a 10-day long initiative at DLF Cyberhub in the month of February 2018 to provide an understanding of the significance of the Aravalli Range in our lives. The event was sponsored by DLF Cybercity, Crocs, Clix Capital and Zeiss.
Photography Exhibition at Cyber Hub, and Walks in the Aravalli Biodiversity park were organized to showcase a first of its kind -documentation of the Aravallis and build awareness among the citizens from all walks of life especially the students, photographers, birders, environmentalists, conservationists, researchers and policymakers. The event saw an attendance of 5000-7000 persons a day.
In a tribute to the Aravallis that have withstood the onslaught of nature’s own extremities, a photo exhibition of over 130 images including a body of work termed Aravalliscapes- curated by Aditya Arya was held at Cyber Hub along with the photographs of Aditya Arya, Bharat Goel, Vinod Goel, Sharat Sharma, Vijay Dhasmana, and Anil Advani. Documentation of the landscape over a period of one year by eight photographers: Ankur Dutta, Aoun Hasan Naqvi, Bhavesh Bhati, Manu Yadav, Mohit Agrawal, Prakhar Pant, Srishti Bhardwaj, and Sandeep Biswas was also showcased under the aegis of the India Photo Archive Foundation.
