Many private and NGO school children came to take part in the actual planting of the trees. These included DPS Sector 28, Happy School, Ridge Valley School, Shiv NAdar Saksham, Nayi Disha, TSRS Aravalli, TSRS Moulsari, and some other NGO schools who were brought by the sponsoring corporate.

Many citizens took part in the free planting drive that was held on 15th August, celebrating Independence Day by greening the city.

85,000 saplings belonging to a 150 species have already been planted within the Park over five planting seasons as part of the project. The Park serves to address various problems of the citizens of Gurgaon, including dwindling forest cover, the lack of water harvesting and restoration zones, green spaces or urban wilds to connect with Nature and a recreational space away from the congestion of the city.
